Mule Ridge

HIKE THE RIDGE ABOVE BISBEE: A WILDFIRE RETROSPECTIVE

Join the Muleteam this Saturday for the first hike of the season: a four-mile loop up to the Ridge with 842' elevation gain. We'll walk at the wildland/urban interface through areas burned by April's Locklin Fire and the 2021 ZacAttack Fire: you'll see how close they came to Old Bisbee homes. We'll hike from the Iron Man, ascend to the City Trail via a Laundry Hill staircase and thence up to the Ridge. We'll descend on the Locklin Trail and on roads. Bring water and a snack; back in time for lunch. Leashed dogs welcome. Meet Saturday, October 29th at 9 a.m. by the Old Bisbee Courthouse fountain. Free. For more details leave a message for Lindsay at 954-770-2221.

BE OUR BLOGGER
For the past few years Elizabeth has done a great job scheduling and posting hikes but she has recently resigned. So now Doug is scheduling hikes, and temporarily, I will be posting on the blog page at muleteam.blogspot.com which automatically sends emails to page subscribers. However, I'm looking for a reliable volunteer to fill this 1 hour/week essential position to keep us hiking. Contact me for details at larryjmilam@gmail.com.
