BACKTRACK - Palominas Last Hike & Potluck

This hiking season came to an end Saturday.  Twenty-six friends and two dogs shared an outstanding smorgasbord of delicious nutrients.  We were happy to have our friends from Mexico join us.  As always, John's homemade ice cream was a big hit.  There was plenty of food and drink, don't think anyone went home hungry.  Thanks to everyone who shared.  The hikes were easy and low key,  The last minute walk along the river was a hit.  The hike along the road was a good easy work out, a bit windy and sunny.  Both hikes were good enough to justify us stuffing ourselves.  Someone jokingly suggested we have a pot luck at the end of each hike next year.  Next season will be here before we know it,  let's hope it will be as interesting and good as this one.  Thanks Doug and Larry for putting this season together and keeping us all in the loop.  Be safe and enjoy your summer.  - Ken and Sandy
