BACKTRACK - Clark Spring
Thirteen Mules and one dog enjoyed a beautiful day hiking 6.4 miles on a variety of terrains. We started on lower Miller Canyon, a leisurely stroll through the wooded forest along a clear and running stream.  Crossed Miller Canyon Rd. headed up to Clark Springs which was more of an uphill, rocky climb. Found our way to have lunch on a rocky outcrop with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys below. Chose the John Cooper trail back down, taking in the budding manzanitas and several tiny rainbow cacti protected in between rocks. We once again meandered through lower Miller Canyon on our way back to our vehicles. The weather was perfect for another beautiful hike with the Muleteam.-Jan
