EXPLORE PARKER CANYON LAKE
Join the Muleteam this Saturday for a scenic hike around the edge of one of the few lakes in this area. This is an easy hike, about 5 miles round-trip on a mostly flat trail in a natural setting with herons. Bring water and lunch.
Optional visit after the hike to Rune Vineyard for wine tasting and Mata Ortiz pottery show. Information here: Mata Ortiz Pottery Show & Sale
Meet April 2 at 9 a.m. by the Old Bisbee courthouse fountain. Parking at the Lake costs $8 per car, waived with a Coronado National Forest or Interagency pass (America the Beautiful, senior pass, etc.). For more details contact Sue at 612-810-0689 or subylogan@msn.com.

BACKTRACK - Joe's Canyon
Nice day. The plan … not summit fever, but an easy meander.
10 intrepid hikers.
A great day for looking for the few shady trees.
Great day to enjoy each other's company.
6 ½ miles and 1350 feet elevation gain. Impressive on a 90-degree day .
One hiker, I won’t mention David’s name, even went 340 feet higher
For extra credit.
The cool clear water that I promised turned out to be a mirage.
